"Ready To Die"-Notorious B.I.G.




I had to start off with this album because,personally, it is and forever will be my favorite hip-hop album of all time. It only got better the more I listened to it. The whole album is much more gritty and raw than Life After Death and has many songs that sound very underground( Gimme The Loot, Suicidal Thoughts, Unbelievable, The What). Biggie is one of the best lyricists in the history of hip hop and this album showcases his skills better than his other material especially since there is only one guest rapper on a 17 track album(Method Man on "The What"). The subject matter doesn't change a whole lot but there is no doubt this is a as close to a perfect album as possible. It gets the coveted
