"On The Corner"-Miles Davis

This album is wild..Orginally it was rated poorly by critics because it was so different from all of Miles' other releases however it has gotten rave reviews as time has passed..He made this album gearing it more towards a younger audience interested in funk and rock at the time..Definitley wild listening to this then "Birth Of The Cool" or "Kind Of Blue".

"On the Corner / New York Girl / Thinkin' One Thing and Doin' Another / Vote for Miles" (19:55)
"Black Satin" (5:16)
"One and One" (6:09)
"Helen Butte / Mr. Freedom X" (23:18)
The 1993 CD reissue of On the Corner (which has the "Columbia Jazz Masterpieces" logo stamped on the front cover) separates each "composition" into a distinct track so that the album has 8 tracks rather than 4. Later reissues returned the songs to their original, conflated status.
4.5/5 Bananas
