"Be"-Common

For a rapper in his mid 30's and whose best album was made in 1994, there wasn't a ton of hype going into the release of this album in 2005..However, Kanye West seemed to have ressurected his career by hitting him with some solid beats..This may be a little overated imo because of the lack of good conscious MCs in the game today, however, it still is a solid album..At times it may seem like he is overly-conscious and he may get some flack because he isn't the most lyrical Emcee mainly because he approachs his songs like poems..The two best songs on the album are "The Corner" and the live Dave Chappelle Show version of "The Food". All in all a solid album but not as good as many others would claim.
3.5/5 Bananas
